We are committed to ensuring that your information is secure and all personal data is collected and handled according to GDPR. In order to prevent unauthorised access or disclosure, we have put in place suitable physical, electronic and managerial procedures to safeguard and secure the information we collect online. DTE may send you information and offers for products, services and training opportunities. Visitors to our websites
When someone visits www.dte.co.uk we use a third-party service, Google Analytics, to collect standard internet log information and details of visitor behaviour patterns. We do this to find out things such as the number of visitors to the various parts of the site. This information is only processed in a way which does not identify anyone. We do not make and do not allow Google to make, any attempt to find out the identities of those visiting our website. If we do want to collect personally identifiable information through our website, we will be upfront about this. We will make it clear when we collect personal information and will explain what we intend to do with it.

We will use the persistent cookies to: enable our website to recognise you when you visit; keep track of your preferences in relation to your use of our website.
We use a third-party provider to deliver our monthly e-newsletters. We gather statistics around email opening and clicks using industry standard technologies including clear gifs to help us monitor and improve our e-newsletter.
People who contact us via social media
We use third-party provider, Hubspot, to manage our social media interactions. If you send us a private or direct message via social media the message will be stored by Hubspot for three months. It will not be shared with any other organisations.
In addition, we may disclose your personal information:
- to the extent that we are required to do so by law;
- in connection with any ongoing or prospective legal proceedings;
- in order to establish, exercise or defend our legal rights (including providing information to others for the purposes of fraud prevention and reducing credit risk);

By choosing to download or view any information, such as videos, whitepapers, supplements or e-books, through DTE’s website, you agree that the information supplied to access these supplements may be passed on to our Business Partners regarding their products and services if there is a legitimate business need to process your request.
