Large OEMs in automotive and aerospace sectors drive 300% increase in training demand
Oxford, UK, 20 April 2016 – Desktop Engineering (DTE), a leading engineering software solutions provider and accredited business partner of Dassault Systèmes, today announced a major surge in the booking of onsite and offsite CATIA Product Lifecycle Management (PLM) training courses – driven, in large, by a significant increase in orders via the UK OEM supply chain. Breaking all previous booking records, training orders increased by 300% in the first quarter of 2016.
Geoff Haines, managing director at DTE, said:
Over the last few months we have seen significant interest in PLM training courses from OEMs in automotive and aerospace, which is testament to the positivity that is currently evident in the supply chain. DTE PLM courses are customised so that we can develop superior individual learning plans and company specific training programmes – far too often training courses are generic and concentrate on material that the trainee is already competent on. Our approach is different.
DTE’s ability to deliver Dassault PLM training courses has gone from strength-to-strength. Recently, it received certification from Dassault Systèmes to become an Authorised Certification Centre, the first of its type in the UK. As an official test centre, DTE is sanctioned to administer and distribute Dassault certifications. Dassault’s Certified Professional Program is administered through a series of exams, which assesses an individual’s technical knowledge and skills for a range of Dassault Systèmes brands and industry solutions.
In addition, DTE is a member of Dassault Systèmes Education Partner Program+ (EPP+) which enables it to train Dassault’s major accounts in the UK. To meet the EPP+ criteria set out by Dassault, all of DTE’s trainers have taken and passed relevant certification tests. DTE courses are trainer-led and include instruction and demonstration of all relevant commands and functionality.
All courses are progressive so that skills can be enhanced to the highest levels in a systematic way.
