Business Development Executive

Desktop Engineering Ltd, a business partner with Dassault Systèmes and MSC Software , has a vacancy for an experienced business development executive to join our expanding team, selling CATIA PLM and 3DEXPERIENCE platform solutions, training, and consulting. Our markets are in the automotive, aerospace, and motorsport industries and we engage with the design and manufacturing departments of these types of companies.

The role is both new business and account management with approximately 80/20 split between new name business / installed base.  

The qualities we are looking for in this role are: 

  • an entrepreneurial flair to make deals happen;
  • skills at engaging with clients at a senior level;
  • the energy and desire to succeed;
  • an instinct and need to acquire new customers. 

We require proven sales experience of at least 8-10 years in our markets or industries, either with other PLM, ERP or similar solutions. We’re flexible on whether you are home-based or not, but would expect fairly regular visits to our offices in Oxfordshire to keep in touch with colleagues. In return the rewards that you will get are a compensation package commensurate with your skills, experience, and success. 

You will be a key player in our focussed sales team who support each other in ensuring that the company remains successful. You will be supported by marketing activity to find opportunities and experience presales consultants who will help you win business.
