System Management
UNIX Administration Primer - 3 days
A fundamental course for all UNIX based CADCAM systems users, where no fully trained system manager exists to undertake the essential daily management routines. The course explains and teaches the very basics of UNIX to enable those responsible to find their way around and undertake necessary basic management tasks.
Skills: Starting up and shutting down systems, logging on and manipulating file systems, basic UNIX commands and windows environment, setting up users and security, managing printing and plotting devices, backing up and archiving.
Pre-requisites: - None
System Administration for CATIA - 4 days
An essential course for all those who will be responsible for managing CATIA systems. The course covers the tasks required to effectively manage CATIA and looks at many of the utilities that system managers will be required to use on a regular basis.
Skills: Installation, setup and configuration of CATIA, license management, data management and use of CATIA utilities such as data translators.
Pre-requisites: UNIX Administration Primer course or equivalent.
