COSMOS/M and COSMOS/DesignStar Training

COSMOS/M Basic - 3 days

An introduction to the COSMOS/M Finite Element Analysis program for engineers with or without previous experience of FEA programs.
Skills: Pre-processor Model generation, meshing considerations, linear static and linear dynamic solutions, results interpretation and quality assessment.
Pre-requisite: Working understanding of problems to be solved.

COSMOS/M Advanced Dynamic Analysis - 2 days

Introduction to analysing the effects of periodic and shock loads represented by time - history data, harmonic loads, random vibration and response spectra.
Skills: Interpreting input data to determine optimum analysis type, optimising analysis options, results interpretation and quality assessments.
Pre-requisite: COSMOS/M basic course.

COSMOS/M Nonlinear Analysis - 2 days

Introduction to analysing non-linear effects.
Skills: Analysing gap/contact conditions, large displacement effects, non-linear material models.
Pre-requisite: COSMOS/M basic course.

COSMOS/M Thermal Analysis - 1 day

Introduction to Steady State and Transient thermal analyses.
Skills: Boundary condition considerations, optimising analysis options.
Pre-requisite: COSMOS/M basic course.

COSMOS/DesignStar Basic - 2 days

An introduction to the Finite Element Analysis method, use of the DesignStar interface, and hands-on tutorial session.
Skills: Model generation, meshing considerations, linear static, dynamic solutions, results interpretation and quality assessment.
